Many Liverpool players are currently fully immersed in securing glory for their nations at this summer’s international tournaments.
14 Reds are out in either Germany or the United States at the moment, vying to win Euro 2024 and the Copa America.
Things have started well for many of them, with Luis Diaz earning plaudits from the Colombian press for his display against Paraguay on Monday.
Another Liverpool player who has been standing out is Cody Gakpo.
After a slightly tricky season with the Reds, Gakpo has been looking good on the left wing for the Netherlands.
And as the 25-year-old gears up for the rest of the tournament, he’s been speaking a little about some of his Liverpool teammates.

Gakpo has settled into life at Liverpool really well.
Although he’s only been at Anfield for 18 months, he already feels like a well liked member of the Liverpool squad.
Laid back and always full of praise for his teammates, it’s easy to see why Gakpo is popular with everyone at the AXA Training Centre.

Of course, the former PSV Eindhoven forward is not the only one who deserves praise for the way he’s integrated into things on Merseyside.
As they always do, the group at Liverpool have welcomed Gakpo with open arms and have stuck by him through some low points in his form.

One of those players who is often right at the forefront of this is Andy Robertson.
Loud, jovial and always in the thick of the banter, Robertson is a vital part of the Liverpool dressing room.
As a result, when ESPN asked Gakpo to pick between a night out with Robbo or a night in with Trent, it was not all that surprising that the Dutchman opted to get on the town with Liverpool’s left-back.
“I would love to go on a night out with Robertson!” laughed Gakpo.
The forward was also brought to laughter when asked to pick between Liverpool legends Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard.
Less than two weeks after they kicked the tournament off against Germany, it’s home time.
From a Liverpool point of view, we can’t pretend to be too upset.
With Gakpo and the Netherlands still going strong, that night out will have to wait.
