Mohamed Salah was once again the match-winner for Liverpool on Saturday away to AFC Bournemouth.
The Egyptian winger scored a brace in a 2-0 win as the 32-year-old attacker surpassed the 20+ Premier League goal mark in just 23 games, with Salah tipped to beat Thierry Henry’s goalscoring and assist record in the English top-flight.
With Alisson Becker praising Salah for his defensive performance against Bournemouth, the former AS Roma superstar truly put in the complete display for Liverpool down on the south coast, who still sit six points clear with a game in hand over Arsenal.
Indeed, Salah’s form has been on another planet compared to everyone else in the Premier League this season, and for Troy Deeney, the winger is making Liverpool look ‘stupid’ in the process given what’s going on away from the pitch.

Writing for BBC Sport, the former Watford captain shared his disbelief over Salah’s form in the context that the winger still hasn’t done enough to convince Liverpool to award the 32-year-old attacker a new contract.
Saudi Arabia have recently increased their interest in Salah with the winger yet to put pen to paper on signing a new contract with Liverpool, and Deeney thinks the Reds have been left with egg on their face given how good the forward has been this season.
Deeney wrote: “The reason for Liverpool winning the game.
He was excellent.”

With the January transfer window over and done with, Liverpool can finally focus on the second half of the season and wrapping up new contracts for the likes of Salah and Virgil van Dijk, with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s deal also expiring.
And although Martin Keown believes Salah will sign a new Liverpool contract, the Reds are yet to make any concrete moves in actually tying their star attacker to fresh terms, with time running out for the Anfield side.
Indeed, Salah is enjoying a career-best season with Liverpool despite everything that’s going on in the background, and the Merseyside giants know they have to wrap up the forward’s contract sooner rather than later in the coming weeks with the summer window approaching.
