That particular avenue has not materialised, but a new opportunity has now emerged.According to Dutch outlet 1908.nl, Van Bronckhorst is now being considered for a seat on Feyenoord’s Supervisory Board – the club’s highest governing body. The role became available following the sudden resignation of Sjaak Troost in February, who stepped down from his position having served seven years as a commissioner.The board currently consists of chairman Toon van Bodegom and members Eelco Blok, Alexander van der Lely, and Rob Tromp.

Van Bronckhorst’s addition would fill the vacant fifth seat and bring much-needed football expertise to the oversight body.Crucially, 1908.nl note that a technical role at the club has not been entirely ruled out, with a position as technical manager – supporting an incoming technical director – also remaining a possibility.Either way, insiders suggest the club icon is seeking something away from the daily spotlight, making both the supervisory and technical manager routes plausible fits.
