You have been amazing home and away and thank you for welcoming me to your club.”“I’d also like to thank the Liverpool fans for the reception they gave me yesterday.
It meant a lot to me going back to Anfield and being able to say thank you for everything you gave me in my 12 years at the club. It’s a feeling that I’ll never forget.”“To be able to be there to see my two brothers, Mo & Robbo, say goodbye and get the send off they deserve was also special.
We spent some amazing times together that I will cherish forever. I wish you both all the very best in your next chapters”The moment had been championed by Mohamed Salah, who earlier this month publicly urged fans to give his former captain the send-off he never received.Brentford boss Keith Andrews summed it up perfectly afterwards, saying Henderson “will look back on it and possibly get a little bit of closure”.
