The Reds were initially keen on landing Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig to bolster the right wing, but he has verbally agreed terms over a future move to PSG. Arsenal recently suffered a setback as Morgan Rogers snubbed them for Chelsea, and it has been reported that Barcola is the fallback target for the hierarchy.

However, Liverpool are currently in the driving seat for the Frenchman's services and could sign him as soon as PSG secure the signing of Diomande. Barcola is primarily a left-sided winger but he is comfortable from the right too.
