Last year, Nicola set out to run six major marathons before finishing with a party after the London Marathon.As the London Marathon started on Sunday, Nicola said: "This time last year I completed the Six Star Major Marathons in seven months, a challenge I set for myself as a complete non‑runner."I had visualised the finish line for so long… celebrating in London, surrounded by my friends and family, feeling that rush of pride everyone talks about.
But the truth is, I never felt it."Nicola added: "I feel so much emotion and pride when the people I love achieve things, even strangers but nothing for myself. She said: "I KNOW my greatest achievement will always be my kids and they give me that feeling more than anything."So my experience wasn't the fairytale feeling I pictured.
