He revealed the shocking news while speaking to to Jane and Fi on Times Radio."Men have to then bite the bullet and swallow their pride and admit if they have problems and say it, so it’s a good thing that that has come out," said Barnes, who eventually had his prostate removed. Read our Privacy Policy"But you’re not, you’re exactly the same, you’re the same person and you’re around and that’s the main thing."Barnes also hailed the recent government decision to invite all black men between the ages of 45 and 74 to take part in a prostate cancer screening trial, describing it as 'a good thing'.It comes after fellow Liverpool icon Sir Kenny Dalglish announced that he was undergoing cancer treatment, having mistakenly revealed the news on social media earlier on Tuesday.In a statement, he said: "As my inadvertent social media post has indicated, I am currently undergoing treatment for cancer.
