Despite recently signing Victor Munoz, Liverpool still want to add another winger to their ranks this summer. The Reds could sign a number of wingers in the next few months, but it appears as though Yan Diomande is the most likely option to come in.PSG are in the race for Diomande as well, and despite Liverpool seeming to be favourites for the RB Leipzig talent, David Ornstein has shared one detail that may help the Ligue 1 outfit in any potential transfer pursuit, which is their clubs’ owners and directors. How impressive has Yan Diomande been at the 2026 World Cup?!

They do want Yan Diomande, and normally when they want a player, they tend to get them, and they’re becoming an increasingly attractive proposition as the back-to-back European champions and, of course, champions of France as well.

“But at this moment in time, as I understand it, unless they get an indication from the player that PSG is his choice, they’re not going to approach RB Leipzig“If they do get that indication, they will try to structure a deal, and it’s worth pointing out that the two bosses at each club, Mintzlaff and Nasser Al-Khelaifi, have a very strong relationship and relationships count for a lot in this industry.”However, while that may well be the case, it is also worth pointing out that RB Leipzig and Liverpool have done business in the past.Dominik Szoboszlai, Ibrahima Konate and Naby Keita are just some of the names the Reds have managed to land from the German outfit down the years.Jurgen Klopp, of course, also has a role at Red Bull now, though whether that will have any bearing on a move for Diomande, who is said to be valued at least €120m, is unclear.Join Our NewsletterReceive a digest of our best Liverpool content each week direct to your mailbox
