Liverpool continue to be heavily linked with a summer move for Ivory Coast star Yan Diomande, with reliable journalist Ben Jacobs now giving a new update. Liverpool have already seen a big-money bid for Diomande rejected by Leipzig, as they look to hold out for over £100m for his services.

Now, Jacobs has taken to X to provide the latest on the situation, claiming the figures in the Reds’ offer for him were slightly different than have been reported: “Understand Liverpool’s bid for Yan Diomande was actually €80m+€20m not €90m+€10m, as originally thought. Liverpool view Diomande as a priority, while PSG could bid as well.

The €80m+€20m offer was pretty swiftly rejected and Liverpool are now assessing whether Leipzig are prepared to engage.” Will Liverpool beat PSG to Yan Diomande signing? It would be a shame to miss out on Diomande, however, considering he has the potential to mature into a world-class attacking player over time.
