Image Credits: Imago ImagesThe player is heading across the Atlantic Ocean to develop their career off the football pitch.Seattle United is a player development club charted in 2009 by Seattle Youth Soccer Association as part of the Washington Youth Soccer.Football is reliant on the next generation being passionate about getting themselves into the sport, and Seattle United are a club that puts real emphasis on developing the youth.Via their Instagram page, it has now been revealed that former Liverpool defender Amy James-Turner has joined Seattle United as their new Female Programming Coordinator and Coach.James-Turner is still an active footballer for Tottenham Hotspur Women, but the club have announced that she is leaving at the end of the season.It remains to be seen whether that means an end to her playing career, but it does appear that way with her set to take up this role.Reflecting on the confirmation, James-Turner said: “In my new role at Seattle United I am looking forward to developing the next generation of footballers.”“As a player at the top level of women’s football, I have gained valuable experience that has shaped me as a person.



My commitment to player development and my passion for the game will continue to drive my identity as a coach.”“I hope to become a role model and mentor for other female players on their football journey. Being able to give back to the game, that has given me so much over the years, will mean a great deal.”Amy James-Turner played for Liverpool during the 2017/18 season, racking up six appearances for the club.Her entire list of clubs she has featured for includes, Doncaster Rovers, Leeds United, Sheffield, Lincoln Ladies, Notts County, Liverpool, Manchester United, Orlando Pride and Tottenham Hotspur.
