Liverpool will be hoping for a much better season in 2026/27, after spending a humbling year scrapping for the Champions League spots.Although there has been a change in manager – or head coach, to be more precise – the hangover from a dismal 2025/26 campaign has lingered into a summer where Liverpool have not been nearly as busy as expected. With concern over the squad Andoni Iraola has inherited rife among the fanbase, Rousing The Kop asked fans on its new TalkingPoints platform to vote for where the Reds will end up finishing this season. After hundreds of votes cast, it is fair to say that Liverpool fans are fairly split on what the campaign will hold.

Nobody wants that.Elsewhere, 15% opted for 2nd, which, depending on what happens in the cup competitions, would be a good first season for Iraola.Unfortunately, some pessimists still remain, with 5% of voters predicting Liverpool to finish 6th, while 6% even think the Reds will end the season outside of the top six. But while Arsenal may be the main beneficiaries of that, Liverpool can capitalise as well.
