Liverpool FC NewsFeaturesTrent Alexander-ArnoldJosh Abe, who is represented by the agency which was co-founded by Trent Alexander-Arnold's brother, Tyler, has signed scholarship terms with LiverpoolLiverpool youngster Josh Abe(Image: Getty Images)Liverpool has tied down highly rated teenager Josh Abe, fending off interest from a host of top clubs.Abe, 15, has emerged as one of the most exciting young players in world soccer, and is so highly thought of that he has already been given a first-team squad number ahead of next season.Abe, is represented by the agency which was co-founded by Trent Alexander-Arnold 's brother, Tyler, and has signed scholarship terms with Liverpool, and a pre-contract agreement is in place for a three-year professional deal to start when he turns 17 next July.The Athletic reports that Abe was promised wages of in excess of £50,000 per week by some of the Reds' Premier League rivals, but Abe and his family ultimately decided that his development would be best served staying at Anfield.Tyler Alexander-Arnold co-founded the agency which represents Abe.That agency was called PLG up until last week, when it was bought out by a US talent agency as part of an international merger.As part of the merger, Tyler was installed as the head of the UK Division in the new set-up.Abe has been on Liverpool's books since the age of four. He enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2025/26 after making his U18s debut under Simon Wiles in September.The England youth international went on to score eight goals in 10 appearances in the U18 Premier League North division.Tyler Alexander-Arnold(Image: 2022 Getty Images )In the season just gone, he was handed his U19 debut in the UEFA Youth League, and has trained several times under Arne Slot at first-team level.His season was ended prematurely in February because of a knee injury, but it is understood that Abe is in the final stages of his recovery.Abe had been in Turkiye with the former Liverpool academy coach Barry Lewtas, who now works with England’s U16s group.
