Women's Super League: Brighton and Liverpool share the spoils Updated / Sunday, 22 Mar 2026 14:53 Manuela Vanegas had a late chance to win it for Brighton Brighton's Manuela Vanegas hit the crossbar in the 90th minute and Liverpool had a stoppage-time header cleared off the line as they shared the points in a goalless Women's Super League draw. In a match of few clear-cut chances, the best of them came right at the death.



Caitlin Hayes headed a deep ball from Jelena Cankovic back across goal for Vanegas, but Liverpool goalkeeper Jennifer Falk pushed it on to the crossbar. Deep into stoppage time, Aurelie Csillag's low drive was just about saved by Chiamaka Nnadozie, her parry bouncing wide of the post, and from the resulting corner, Maelys Mpome hooked the ball off the line after Martha Thomas's header struck Liverpool team-mate Grace Fisk.
