Sweden have qualified for 2026 World Cup with a late win over Poland. Initially expected back in late March or early April, Isak is now on track to rejoin team training at the AXA Training Centre.

“I don’t want to downgrade it too much because I think he can have an impact when he is back, but it is more realistic to expect [100 percent] from him next season than against Man City or PSG.” He was not included in Sweden’s squad for their 2026 FIFA World Cup play-off matches. Sweden, however, secured qualification for the World Cup with a dramatic 3-2 win over Poland in their European play-off final on Tuesday night.

The result confirms Sweden’s first World Cup appearance since reaching the quarter-finals in 2018, having failed to qualify in 2022. After the game, Isak took to Instagram to express his delight.
