Named ‘Forever 20’, the sculpture - which will sit permanently at Anfield - is the latest tribute to Jota and his brother.News of their passing saw Anfield flooded with shirts, scarves and more from fans from across the world, and Jota has been memorialized throughout the past 12 months by supporters, who have sung his song at every game.The new memorial has been designed by sculptor Emma Rodgers, and pays the perfect tribute to Jota and Silva with a host of special details included.The shape of the sculpture forms a flowing heart, in honor of Jota’s iconic goal celebration, and when viewed from different angled, it reveals the numbers 20 and 30 - Jota and Silva’s respective shirt numbers.The lyrics to Jota’s song - which has been sung in the 20th minute of games over the past year by Liverpool fans - have been carved into work, with the lines “he will take us to victory, oh, his name is Diogo,” included on the plinth holding the sculpture.The memorial includes a PlayStation controller, representing Diogo Jota's love for gaming(Image: Getty Images)Meanwhile some of the physical tributes that were left by supporters at Anfield have been set in wax and embedded into the structure and surface of the sculpture.Stone from Jota’s homeplace of Gondomar in Portugal has been used to create the work.
