Liverpool u21 manager Rob Page has provided a further injury update on Jayden Danns after his return last night was cut short. Around the 29‑minute mark he suddenly pulled up off the ball, immediately reaching for the back of his leg and signalling to the bench that there was a problem. Now Liverpool u21 manager Rob Page has provided a somewhat positive injury update on the situation, suggesting that it may well just be a precaution to take him off and that he could have continued in the first half: “We’ll know more in 24 hours, but it was probably precautionary as well,” Page said to Redmen TV.

“He’s felt something, to what extent, we don’t know, but I think he’s done the sensible and right thing to do. He could have played on for the first half, but I think the sensible thing to do for his development now and for his future is for him to come off.” All told, Liverpool will simply have to wait and see what the next 24 hours bring.
