There has been some rumours that Giorgi Mamardashvili is growing disillusioned at Liverpool with no pathway to first-team shot stopper yet showing itself. Mamardashvili joined Liverpool for a fee in excess of 35 million euros in the summer of 2024, with a clear initial plan: sign for Liverpool, stay one more season on loan at Valencia CF, then head to Merseyside to eventually take over from Alisson. Mamardashvili first arrived at Valencia in 2021, initially with Valencia Mestalla, and then established himself as a first‑choice keeper and full international, racking up 134 official appearances for Los Che, 127 of them in La Liga.

He effectively spent four seasons at the club, the last of those on loan from Liverpool after his 2024 transfer, and left Mestalla with his reputation enhanced and the door very much left open for a possible return. First, they are in the market for a goalkeeper for next season and know Mamardashvili is both proven at Mestalla and adored by the fanbase.
