Gusto is now in his fourth season at Chelsea after joining in a €35m (£30.7m) from Lyon in 2023.
However, Liverpool were unsuccessful in their talks with Chelsea over a deal for Gusto on deadline day. Malo Gusto has started both of Chelsea’s Premier League games this season (Getty) However, Chelsea were pushing for a permanent transfer which Liverpool rejected.
Elsewhere, Chelsea sold Enzo Fernandez to Manchester City in a £125m deal on deadline day.
