However, according to The Sun, Spence is not necessarily a guaranteed starter at Tottenham heading into the new season, with Pedro Porro and Andy Robertson believed to be Roberto De Zerbi’s favoured full-backs.

Inter have already held discussions with Spence’s camp this summer having been alerted to the England international during his impressive half-a-season stint with Genoa two years ago.

As one of Tottenham’s many World Cup participants, Spence was not included in De Zerbi’s touring party to New Zealand and Australia for the club’s pre-season clashes against Auckland FC, Sydney FC and Chelsea.
