Liverpool have reportedly targeted a move for Feyenoord coach Etienne Reijnen. Reijnen was initially set to move to Anfield as a dedicated set-piece coach at the start of Arne Slot’s reign but a reunion was stymied by work permit issues.

But the 39-year-old, who worked under Slot at De Kuip, could be back on the Reds’ radar with reports in the Netherlands claiming a move is imminent this summer. According to journalist Valentijn Driessen, as relayed by 1908 NL, an approach is set to be made for Reijnen once he concludes his current coaching diploma.

The former centre-back, currently Robin van Persie’s assistant at Feyenoord, could be involved in an indirect swap between the clubs with Giovanni van Bronckhorst. Van Bronckhorst was recently touted with a return to his boyhood team as their new technical director with Dennis te Kloese departing at the end of this season.
