You can only pick ONE player for Liverpool to sign this summer, who is it?
Who should Richard Hughes be targeting above all… Photo Credit: Getty Images/Robin Jones Liverpool like Tino LivramentoWith Andy Robertson leaving and Jeremie Frimpong often used in a more advanced role this season, it would make sense for the Reds to be looking at full-backs this summer. One man who could come in to provide cover on both sides of the back-four is Newcastle’s Tino Livramento. And Ben Jacobs has now said that Liverpool have an admiration for Livramento, whom the Magpies could sell this summer. He said: “Liverpool have always had appreciation for Tino Livramento who is capable of playing right back and left back.“He’s a player I expect Newcastle United to put available on the market.”Position change for Yan Diomande at LiverpoolIf Liverpool want to get a deal done for the 13-goal forward, it is claimed that Yan Diomande could cost £87m.Naturally, it would make sense for the RB Leipzig talent to come in and replace the outgoing Mohamed Salah. However, Liverpool using Diomande off the left has now been mooted by Lewis Steele. He said: “Yan Diomande, Liverpool are going to go quite big there. And there is a sort of point of difference here because Diomande started on the left.
He moved over to the right and Liverpool look at him as two-sided.“So it could be Diomande as your Salah replacement, but they still go for a left-sided player to replace Luis Diaz, or it could be Diomande gets moved back to the left if he moves to Anfield.“And then they talk about, do they need an out-and-out Mo Salah replacement in addition, or are they going to go for a creative-minded, versatile attacker? So were they to succeed with Diomande, he would likely revert back to the left.”Liverpool’s plan for Anthony GordonWhile Diomande remains a key target for the Merseyside powerhouse, Anthony Gordon is not high on the Reds’ list.Liverpool still like the player, but it is thought Bayern Munich may be ahead in that race.As Steele explained: “You can never discount that kind of deal from reemerging, but at this stage there’s other targets ahead of Anthony Gordon and Liverpool’s expectation is that Gordon now is maybe more sold on going abroad.“And if Bayern can agree a fee with Newcastle, there is a very realistic chance that Gordon picks Bayern over everybody else, including staying in the Premier League.”PSG looking at replacements for Bradley BarcolaBradley Barcola is being linked to Slot’s side again, one year on from previous interest in the winger.TeamTalk say that PSG are publicly saying that the winger is not for sale. But they are exploring options should he move, and Gordon is one, meaning Liverpool could let the Newcastle forward go to France, and they could sign Barcola instead.Join Our NewsletterReceive a digest of our best Liverpool content each week direct to your mailbox
