Victor Munoz has spoken for the first time about his move to Liverpool. A deal was completed while Munoz was at the World Cup with his country but the 22-year-old has revealed how Iraola was a key factor in his move to Merseyside. it’s an opportunity you can’t pass up ,” he told EFE.

“He (Iraola) transmitted his confidence to me, the way his team plays. It all happened very quickly.” Munoz is yet to feature for La Roja at this summer’s tournament in North America due to a calf issue which was recently exacerbated by a fresh muscle injury.

He added: “We were managing it, but I felt some discomfort and we are trying to get back on the pitch as soon as possible. It’s a dream and I want to be back on the pitch as soon as possible.”
