Liverpool are on the verge of agreeing Curtis Jones’ sale to Inter Milan. Jones has been on the Serie A champions’ radar since the January transfer window despite seeing a succession of bids rejected earlier this summer.

The midfielder is in the final 12 months of his current deal and missed the friendlies with Monaco and Como while his future remained unresolved. The Toxteth-born player has made 228 appearances for his boyhood club including 49 last season but was unable to claim a regular starting spot.
